I wonder, is there any direct and obvious link to M&TV on the Facebook page? Maybe there is, but I didn't find one in the first few seconds, but then again I don't have any Facebook experience (yes, I live on Mars), maybe this isn't allowed or approved. – Christian Rau Jan 30 at 9:13
@ChristianRau i have added a direct link but it is in the website column. I am also thinking to add the site address in About column tonight. – Ankit Sharma Jan 30 at 9:36

I find this question offtopic. You can post/blog/discuss M&TV wherever you want, but it has nothing to do with site itself. In its current form this question looks like spam. – default locale Feb 3 at 16:46

@defaultlocale Huh? You know what M&TV meta is for, don't you? – Christian Rau Feb 4 at 17:23
@ChristianRau As far as I understand it is for improving our main site. Not for improving/advertising someone's facebook/myspace/personal blog pages. From meta's faq : avoid asking questions that have nothing to do with movies.stackexchange.com. – default locale Feb 4 at 19:10

@defaultlocale nothing to do with movies.stackexchange.com. , its not a personal blog and second it belongs to movies.stackexchange.com – Ankit Sharma Feb 4 at 19:12
@AnkitSharma I appreciate your efforts and I will be happy if this facebook public page will increase our traffic/search engine rank (while I'm not really active on facebook and I don't understand how it's better than plain old question/answer sharing). But it has nothing to do with main site itself and, thus, is off-topic on meta. I just don't want to deal with a load of questions like: Hi! Here's a fan page for M&TV on supadupanetwork.evil.so (quite popular social network). Please, get involved, peeps. – default locale Feb 4 at 19:31

@defaultlocale if it did turn into a trend, then i could see making all discussions of the like as off-topic on meta. As such, this is the only one, and probably will be the only one. It's also intended to be a temporary unofficial page until we graduate and get a real facebook page (if that does actually happen). – DForck42 Feb 4 at 22:30

It may be "too small" to be a problem, but the use of DVD covers on a FB page for the purposes of advertising a Q&A site which is owned and run as a commercial venture may not constitute fair use under copyright law. – Mary Jo Finch Apr 4 at 23:10
@MaryJoFinch oh....didn't thought about it. Will remove it soon. – Ankit Sharma Apr 5 at 0:12
@MaryJoFinch done – Ankit Sharma Apr 14 at 19:51
So wait.. is this going to be like meta.meta.movies.stackexchange.com? – Bobby Alexander May 15 at 8:31
@BobbyAlexander Its just for promotional purpose on social network (Unofficialy). Their is nothing like meta in it. – Ankit Sharma May 15 at 9:00

Great Job Ankit. We appreciate your efforts. I am not getting why Stack Exchange does not starts official facebook pages of it's network sites still. I worry there can people make fake facebook pages of sites. I have made request for making facebook pages for the same. But this is not getting much attention. And we can like that page on facebook and spread our word.

Can we have 'facebook like' option for each network site of Stack Exchange?

Most of the people on SO Meta doesn't like FB. So its the case of disapproval to your request.But we can at-least try with this unofficial page to promote by sharing it with friends. – Ankit Sharma Feb 3 at 12:08
this is not getting much attention Untrue. Question received significant amount of vote-downs. – default locale Feb 3 at 16:50
What exactly would you discuss on a Facebook page of a site that asks questions? – Bobby Alexander May 15 at 8:32
Just for advertisement/ pusblishing the existence of website. – Somnath Muluk May 15 at 10:59
